Bague Sculpture Cristal de Françoise Zeegers
After a graduate in applied economics and a work experience of more than 10 years in a private company, Françoise Zeegers, who always demonstrated a sure taste for arts and plastics, decides to re-orient her carreer and face the challenge to invest her passion into an artistic and craft activity.
Coming back from two years in Paris, she decides to register and follow class at the Institute of Arts and Crafts of Brussels where she is following jewellery classes followed by a specialization in contemporary jewellery.
In that new environment, she will become fascinated by metal and the subtle art of jewellery.  Since then, Françoise is in constant research of new things, rich in imagination and most of all animated by a consuming passion for this delicate art which has become her new job.
“A jewel is a piece of art and art is a necessity, a need. It is an ongoing research touching upon our feelings and which can only exist through someone else’s eyes.  But first of all, it takes shape through your own eyes looking at your art and therefore at yourself”
She has been active in jewellery since more than 5 years during which she participated to 2 contests (Polyart and Print’or trophies in Lyon – France, 5th place at each contest), took part in many collective exhibitions (Japan embassy, Mei-le Gallery, Grez des Arts Gallery, Villers-la-Ville Abbey, Saint Hubert Abbey) as well as many craft markets in France.
In 2004, she joins the Arts and Crafts Association of Wallonia and teams up with Pierre Vanherck, creator of prestigious walking canes, for the creation of a jewel line made out of precious wood and metal.
She is officially admitted as a creator and manufacturer of jewels by the “Hotel des Monnaies” of Brussels and has registered her own brand.
Her jewels are unique pieces and can be fully customized upon demand
“ A jewel must be in harmony with someone’s personality and body.  It must become a living part of that person”
